Participation in Medtec Japan to Showcase RCBE Achievements

As part of our initiative to promote the social implementation of research outcomes, RCBE participated in Medtec Japan, the largest exhibition in Asia focusing on medical device manufacturing and design. This year's exhibition featured 454 exhibitors (up from 441 last year) and attracted a total of 17,570 visitors over the course of three days, representing an increase of nearly 3,000 visitors compared to last year (5,576 on April 17th, 5,791 on April 18th, and 6,203 on April 19th).

This year, we conducted real-world exhibitions from Tokyo Medical and Dental University (1 exhibit), Tokyo Institute of Technology (2 exhibits), Shizuoka University (2 exhibits), and Hiroshima University (7 exhibits). The exhibition themes for each research laboratory are as follows:

■ Tokyo Medical and Dental University
Nakajima Lab: Surgical Support Devices + Medical AI

■ Tokyo Institute of Technology
Shinshi Lab: Needle-Free Injection Using Ultrasonic Cavitation
Tahara Lab: Development of Ultrasonic Imaging Method for Visualizing Tissue Hardness Based on Shear Waves Visualization

■ Shizuoka University
Aoki Lab: Non-Contact Operation 3D DICOM Viewer Using Spatial Reproduction Display
Kawahito Lab: KAO Camera Capable of Detecting Pulse Waves from the Body in Darkness or Under Environmental Light Variations, Equipped with On-Chip RGB/NIR Filter Lock-In CMOS Image Sensor

■ Hiroshima University
Teramoto Lab: Noise Evaluation of Transistors Using LSI and 2D Sensing
Kuroki Lab: Construction of SiC Extreme Environment Electronics and Its Application to Particle Beam Therapy
Kameda Lab: High Reliability of Wireless Networks in Medical Institutions
Goto Lab: Research on Information Processing Devices Using Electronic Spin
Nakashima Lab: Alq3 Mixed Electron Beam Resist for Nano-Scale Organic EL Biosensors
Koide Lab: One Method of Colonoscopy Image Diagnosis Support Based on NICE/JNET Classification Using Deep Learning
Associate Professor Tabei: Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Material Advanced Research Infrastructure Hiroshima University Semiconductor Industry Technology Research Institute ARIM Project Support Room

This event provided an invaluable opportunity to engage directly with numerous corporate developers, enabling meaningful discussions and exploration of potential collaborative research opportunities on-site.
